Welcome to the Fair Haven Arts Center!
Dear Friends - Our Spring Show “Connections: No One is an Island” .continues through July 3rd. We are thrilled to feature such a variety of work as we muse upon what Connections meant to each artist. We have decided to dedicate our Spring show to the Ukrainians - in recognition of their inspirational fight to save each other and their country. If we could all be so brave and caring! And so, we are planning to donate the Arts Center's commissions on any sales during the show to a not-for-profit humanitarian fund to support the Ukrainian people in their struggle. In addition, thanks to the generous donations of this community, we are raffling off some lovely items to benefit the same Ukrainian fund. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 3/$10 and there are 8 gift groupings to choose from. Stop on by and vote for your favorite entry and Be an Angel and support the donations by purchasing raffle tickets. The winners will be announced at the close of the show on Sunday, July 3rd. Weekend hours through July 3rd are 11-3pm. Memorial Day 11-1. pm. As always - we thank you for your support! No Man is an Island – John Donne “No man is an island, Entire of itself, Every man is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thy friend's Or of thine own were: Any man's death diminishes me, Because I am involved in mankind, And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee”. **************************************** Our purpose is to enhance involvement in the arts for everyone in the greater Fair Haven community, and to support education in the arts for all ages. We recognize that diversity can power innovation. This has always been a driving force in the field of art and historically has caused seismic changes. We welcome the life force that inclusion of all cultures can bring. The Art Center is located in the 1864 House at 562 Main Street in the center of downtown Fair Haven.
