We are so excited about our upcoming season at the Arts Center. Our first show was a success and displayed the talented art work and creativity of Red Creek High School and Middle School students. Our next show features the work of local photographer and FHAC member, Mark Giovannetti. Mark’s exhibit “Impressions of Nature: Landscapes & Fish Portraits from the 20th Century” will open at the Arts Center on May 22 with a reception from 5-7pm. The show will continue Saturdays & Sundays (11-3 pm) through June 7. His exhibit contains beautiful natural landscapes and fish portraits in their natural habitats. All his images were photographed using Kodachrome film and his landscapes are Cibachrome prints. Once you see their vibrancy you may wish we never made the transition to digital photography! Please stop by to show your support. Next on the Tuesday's at the Art Center schedule is Book Club on 5/26 which meets at the art center from 6:30-8pm. This month's book is "Theo of Golden" Help kickstart this new club by stopping by on the 26th. Future books will be decided upon by the participants.. Attend every month or selected months--its your book club. We've had a great response to the first Fair Haven Poster Project. Participating artists have selected their poems that they are going to illustrate and. you can view the final list here. We will be finalizing our calendar of events very soon, so stay tuned. Yoga classes continue on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:30a.m. Helen welcomes new participants at all levels.. Our writer's group is on-going every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6pm. .
